Tera kaia: The only sports bra you’ll ever need

I hate wearing bras – I always have. When I was young, I would defy the social norm of wearing them entirely, except for when I ran. At 34 years-old, and after having a baby, I need to wear them much more often, particularly when climbing.

I’ve bought so many sports bras over the years, and I will say that they have gotten more comfortable as companies have learned that we don’t just want to squish them down as tightly as possible. But, I’ve never really loved one. When I go on climbing trips, especially when camping, I tend to wear my clothes for a few days, not wanting to change or get undressed in my cold tent. It’s always been annoying to have to take off my bra under all those layers at the end of the day, and then put it back on in the morning when it’s cold in my tent.

When I first put on the Tera Kaia bra, I noticed how comfortable it was. There were no tags poking me, no uncomfortable seems, and it didn’t feel constricting. Actually, the first time I wore it, I went out and climbed, and then completely forgot to take it off when I got home! Usually, taking off my bra is the first thing that crosses my mind when I walk through the door of my house, but it didn’t. Later that night, I realized I was still wearing the bra, and thought, “wow, this is really comfortable. I can’t believe I’ve been wearing it all day and actually forgot about it.”

Since that day, I’ve only worn this bra. Because of the material, it never feels wet and never smells – I don’t even always wash it between uses, and I just realized that it’s reversible! It’s my go-to workout gear, and I feel like it’s the only sports bra I’ll ever need.
