Our Work

Rock climbing is a passion. It’s a sport that can provide incredible physical and mental challenge. It forces you to solve problems, push yourself physically, and overcome mental hurdles. It can also provide entryway to some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, and into a community filled with intelligent, caring, and supportive individuals.

Breaking into climbing can sometimes be intimidating, and so climbing with other women can help alleviate some of the intimidation. It also just changes the experience of climbing. Hanging out, especially in nature, with a group of women is powerful, and we strive to show all women their own power.

Ladies Climbing Coalition ambassadors host ladies meet-ups in gyms across the nation, and we coordinate and facilitate low-cost climbing trips around the country for all women and non-binary people who are comfortable in spaces that center the experiences of women. We strive to be a presence in the climbing community and in our efforts, are always looking to expand our impact, so if you’re interested in getting involved or collaborating, please reach out!

In addition to the meetups and trips we facilitate, we provide an annual Gear Scholarship in which we provide essential climbing gear to those with financial burden. For the past three years, we have awarded more than 50 people with helmets, harnesses, shoes, and belay devices. Our Adventure Grant is another way we aid people to accomplish their climbing and adventure-related goals.

Our route-setting clinics have provided opportunity and education for women and nonbinary climbers across the country. We strive to educate others through in-person clinics and online workshops.
