The Ladies Climbing Coalition is an all volunteer-based organization. Our ambassadors give their time and efforts to establish and grow their communities and foster inclusive environments for all. These leaders host meet-ups, trips, and other events for females and nonbinary folk.

Jessica is originally from Iowa and moved to Utah where she started climbing and fell in love with the sport and the climbing community. She is now in Oregon, where she works for the State by day, and in evenings teaches intro to climbing courses at Stoneworks Climbing Gym, which was the 3rd climbing gym in the country to open!

Michelle is a second year medical student at Tulane University and during her undergrad at the University of Denver she founded the climbing team!

Jen currently resides in New Haven, CT working as the program director/routesetter at her local climbing gym. She tries to get outside, pulling on real rocks, any chance she gets, being fueled by massive amounts of sour watermelon gummies and espresso drinks/redbull.

Sally currently lives in Lincoln, RI. She loves to be outside, read, cook, hang, drink seltzers, and listen to music. She is currently working on breathing in climbing and keeping up her 7 year goal of learning how to play the guitar. Sally loves to travel and is currently saving up for a 4 month climbing trip in July with her boyfriend, Adam.

Nicole Weinstein lives in Chicago and works as a Behavioral Health Consultant in Primary Care. She has been climbing since 2016 and mostly climbs sport and top rope. Her favorite place to climb is at the Red River Gorge. Her goal for 2019 is to lead in the 11s outdoors!

Shannon works as an employee, instructor, and youth coach at a locally-owned climbing gym. She enjoys sport climbing at nearby crags along the Columbia River Gorge and at Smith Rock. Outside of climbing, Shannon supports children and families with special needs in the Portland area.

Sam lives in Maine where she teaches social emotional learning to middle school students. She loves and appreciates so many things about climbing, especially the community it fosters. Her goal for 2019 is to climb with 19 different women outside.

Ariel grew up and has lived her entire life in Southern Louisiana – far from the world of rock climbing. She fell in love with climbing after visiting Boulder, CO two years ago, and has been changed ever since. She is currently the Director of Membership Development at UpTown Climbing in Baton Rouge and founded Ladies Night there!

Meghan currently works at the Central Rock Gym in Randolph as a competitive youth team coach and fitness instructor. A recent graduate of Bridgewater State University, Meghan puts her teaching skills to work with the little ones. This year, she hopes to get outside to learn as much as possible while training hard in the gym.
Cat Mazo

Cat was born and raised in Providence, RI. She started climbing in 2016 and currently works at Rock Spot Climbing in Lincoln and Providence as a supervisor and youth program instructor. In addition to being a part time student at Providence College, Cat also coaches high school girls’ soccer at Moses Brown from which she graduated in 2015. When she’s not climbing or playing soccer, she’s either playing drums or video games.
